Misc. Summer Stuff

Well, obviously, like all of us 'post secondary' students, I am done yet another year of school. In fact, I have been done for a couple of weeks now and am already back into the swing of working and reading and spending time with the 'summer friends,' who contrast greatly with the previous two winter 'winter friends."

I am house sitting a big house with a huge screen tv and two cats, so I am pretty much happy all the time. No one disrupts me while I am sitting on the couch reading for a couple of hours, and no one bothers me when I am laying in the sunbeam after work. I can wake up at 5:30a.m and listen to music loudly and not worry about waking anyone and I can have hot showers and not worry about the next person in line. Its pretty much the life.

I kind of miss the boys though, I didnt realize how attached I had grown to them. Im also missing Jarvis and the copious amounts of games and wine that were often consumed in his presence.

I think the thing that I am most excited for this summer is all of the hiking that we have been planning. Cole, Blake and whoever else we can drum up are going to go on a day long hike in to a lake up in the mountains of Tumbler Ridge. We were talking about spending a night and the next day up there and then maybe hiking out on the third day. Im really excited, but I think before we can do that, we are going to need to really work up to it. So, out come the backpacks and jugs of water as 'resistence' training.

Anyways, I just thought I should update and send a little shout out from lil' old DC!
I'm pretty sure that the few people who read this are split half and half between the North (here) and the South (PG and Van), so it makes it hard to know what to write about.
